Following last night’s heavy rain there are reports of localised flooding in several areas.
Jersey Met are forecasting further rainfall today from 10am that will be heavy and persistent at times for the Channel Islands.
- 20 to 30mm of rain is expected through the day
- There is a an ongoing risk of localised flooding
- Travel disruption is likely in some areas due to surface water and poor visibility
- Further rain at times overnight, with a further 10mm possible
Islanders are advised:
- While main roads are open, there is standing water, so travel carefully, especially if on two wheels, as conditions are slippery
- Check for blocked drains around your property

For Grand Vaux: We want to reassure residents we’re working to lower the water levels in the area, ahead of more rain expected today. Sandbags are available at the Infrastructure and Environment compound located next to the impounding pond.
